How The Forum Works

First of all, Welcome to the JHS Media & Culture Studies Forum.

What is a Forum
Historically a forum was a public open space in the middle of a city during Roman times. However, today, an internet forum is basically a discussion board on the internet that is focused around one particular topic. Do a Google search and you will find forums about everything.
Forums are also known as Discussion Boards, Discussion Groups, Message Boards, Web Forums, etc.

How does it work
First you need to create a username and become a member (see below)
Then you simply post a question that's been on your mind about the course, or answer somebody else question that has already been posted.

What will I find here
Discussion about everything and anything to do with Media and Culture. See something on TV that you thought was great? Post it here and develop a discussion about it. Think that the concert or movie you just went to see was absolute garbage? Post it here and see what everyone else thought of it.

Are there any rules
Of course. There are always rules.

How do I become a Member
OK, time to get involved. Follow the steps below and you will be ready to post.
Click Register at the top of the page
Read the Terms of Agreement
Click I Agree To These Terms at the bottom
Choose a username
Enter your email address
Choose a password that you will not forget (must be 6 or more characters)
Click Save
Confirm password
Click Save
An email will be sent to the email address you provided (takes a few minutes to get there – check SPAM folder)
Go to your email and click on the link that they give you.

Click Log in at the top of the page every time you want to post a question or respond to somebody else's comments.
